Shidoshi-Ho Lance Garrison

Sandan Lance Garrison is the primary instructor of the Bloomington Bujinkan Dojo. Lance has studied under Sensei Kellen Myers for 2 years at the Bloomington Bujinkan Dojo and currently studies under Shidoshi Dean Houser. In 2008, Lance was fortunate enough to accompany Shidoshi Houser and Shidoshi Chris Griffin to Japan to train with Soke and many of the Shihan. Lance also currently trains under Sensei Rhodes and Sensei Greene at the Ryukyu Kyusho Dojo in Bloomington in Small Circle Jujitsu, and Modern Arnis, respectively.

Shidoshi Dean Houser

Shidoshi Houser directly supervises the Bloomington Buinkan Dojo. Dean currently holds the rank of 5th degree black belt. He has spent 7.5 years studying Budo Taijutsu, and has made 3 trips to Japan since 2006, training extensively with Nagato Sensei, Noguchi Sensei, Seno Sensei, Oguri Sensei, Someya Sensei, Shiraishi Sensei, and Hatsumi Sensei. He has attended numerous seminars and other Bujinkan events. Dean also studied Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu under Sensei Patrick Veninga.

Sensei Kellen Myers

Yondan (4th degree black belt) Kellen recently graduated Indiana University Maurer School of Law - Bloomington, and also graduated Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Psychology and Philosophy. Kellen had the fortune of being an Assistant Instructor under Shidoshi Bart Uguccioni at the Dexter Bujinkan Dojo, as well as the head instructor of the Bloomington Bujinkan Dojo over the past few years.

In August 2004, and June 2006 Kellen took advantage of a great opportunity to go over to Japan and train directly with Hatsumi Sensei as well as numerous other Japanese Shihan.

Shidoshi Bart Uguccioni
Rokudan (6th degree black belt) Bart is the head instructor of the Dexter Bujinkan Dojo. Bart began Martial Arts training in Isshinryu Karate, in 1974 while still in high school. As an infantry Marine Sgt. he studied Shotokan Karate, and Hapkido for 7 years while overseas. He received an honorable discharge after 13 years of service.

Bart Uguccioni is a sworn and certified reserve Police Officer with the WCC Sheriff's Dept. He has been actively training in Budo Taijutsu in the Dexter / Ann Arbor, Michigan area and in Japan for the past 14 years. Bart is a personal student of Masaaki Hatsumi Soke of the International Bujinkan Dojo. He is also under the guidance and training of Shihan Phil Legare & Shihan Michael Pearce of the Bujinkan Taka-Seigi Dojo, Tokyo Japan. Bart also studies the way of the sword under the patient guidance and friendship of Sensei Pat Veninga (Muso Chokuden Eshin Ryu).

Yondan (4th degree black belt) Brian VanCise conducts regular Modern Arnis & Instinctive Response Training for The Dexter Bujinkan Dojo. He is the Founder of Instinctive Response Training (1994). Some of his credentials include:

Tae Kwon Do, 4th Degree Blackbelt.
Master Instructors License, UTB, UMAB, ITF

26+ years experience in:
Arnis, Filipino empty hand, Stick, Knife, and Sword Fighting.

10+ years experience in Brazilian Jiujitsu
